Special fasteners

Fasteners are made out of medium or high alloy steels, stainless steels in CSN, DIN or ANSI standards for Grades 5.6 – 12.9 categories and in custom lengths per individual requirements of our customers and rolled diameters from M10 to max. 210mm. This can be done for UN, W, G, Rd, and Tr threads. SANBORN fasteners are used for the most demanding applications with temperatures between -50 to 580°C and pressures do 30 MPa. Zn, ZnPh, MnPh, Delta MKS can be done in cooperation with our heat treatment and surface finish subcontractors.

Threads are either cold rolled or cut as needed. Thread rolling provides high quality and superior strength.  SANBORN uses number of domestic or imported steels to meet these demanding applications with material certifications from the steel mills.

Among other specialty items made by SANBORN are bolt and nut combinations that cannot be disassembled once installed. These parts are used in places where welding or riveting is not possible or allowed such as broadcast towers, bridges, high tension power line towers and other.
