Friction bearing renovations

Renovation of old friction bearing housings and recasting of new Babbitt and composite metals are done statically or centrifugally.  Bearings are machined to exact dimensions required by customers. SANBORN can also manufacture new bearings.

All bearings are ultrasound tested to ensure that the metal composition adheres to the housing in accordance with industry standards. Maximum dimensions of the housings are dia.2000 mm (78”) and length of 1500mm (59”).
